“As Mrs. Herring, Albert's Mother, Hannah Minner proved a splendid singing actress..."

Hannah Minner, who is a native of Columbus, Ohio performs both locally and internationally. Recently, she was praised for her portrayal of Mrs. Herring from Albert Herring as a "splendid singing actress" with the Miami Classical Music Festival. She was also applauded for her interpretation of Bertha from Il barbiere di Siviglia at Carnegie Hall (Weill Hall) with Manhattan Opera Studio. With Manhattan Opera Studio, she also delighted the audience as the Third spirit from Die Zauberflöte, as well as sang in various concerts as Cherubino and Marcellina from Le Nozze di Figaro.  Upcoming performances present Hannah Minner as Flora from La Traviata to be performed with Clyde Opera Group in Glasgow, Scotland (post-poned date TBD).  Other recent engagements include portrayals of Tisbe from Cenerentola, Dorabella from Così fan Tutte, and Nerone from Incorazione di Poppea.  Internationally, she has been seen on various stages in Lucca, Italy, her favorite being Puccini's family home. Locally, she has performed with Opera Columbus, Opera Project Columbus, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and Capital University Orchestra.  She has also been featured in several Opera, Oratorio, and Art song recitals in her voice studio.

 

In addition to performing Opera, Hannah teaches music to middle school students in a public school setting.  She is an active individual outside of work, and can be found reading, and spending time with her family.
